PARKING LOT SAFETY RULES
Please remember there is NO CELL PHONE USE WHILE DRIVING, EVEN IN THE PARKING LOT. It is the Law.
EVERYONE MUST USE THE CROSSWALK. Walk along the parked cars or safety cones to the crosswalk.
NEVER CROSS IN BETWEEN THE CARS IN THE DROP-OFF LANE. This is for you and your child's safety.
Unless you have a placard/plate on your car, DO NOT PARK OR PULL INTO A HANDICAP SPOT.
It's dangerous to call your student from the parking areas and ask them to come to you. YOU MUST COME TO THE CURB AND GET THEM.
Dropping off or picking up a student or family member in the middle of the parking lot CAN BE VERY DANGEROUS AND IS NOT PERMITTED.
When in the drop-off lane, STUDENTS SHOULD EXIT AND ENTER VEHICLES ON CURB SIDE ONLY. This avoids kids being hit by passing cars.
To help prevent being crushed between cars, DO NOT OPEN YOUR TRUNK OR HATCH WHILE IN THE DROP-OFF LANE TO RETRIEVE BACKPACKS, PROJECTS, OR INSTRUMENTS.
GETTING OUT OF YOUR CAR OR LEAVING YOUR CAR UNATTENDED IN THE DROP-OFF LANE IS NOT PERMITTED.
Please remember to follow the direction of the parking lot safety volunteers. These parent volunteers are here to make our school a safer place for students, parents, teachers and visitors. |
